HOPE nursery is set up to provide a safe, fun “class” for babies and toddlers with lots of distractions and a general, flexible routine that can be altered to fit the needs of the group each co-op day. Our goal would be to incorporate pretend playing, simple art projects, active play, simple snacks, and a “lesson” each meeting. Children who are NOT potty trained should bring 3 diapers in a gallon Ziploc bag with their name on it to leave at HOPE in a tote. Teachers will inform parents when more diapers are needed. Please also bring your own labeled diaper bag with an extra set of clothes and extra diapers each co-op day.

Music class will provide an opportunity for students to sing folksongs, hymns and worship songs. We will learn Bible verses through melody and will be discovering musical concepts through basic music theory using the Kodály Method. We will also learn songs to sing at our Christmas and Spring programs. Our goal is for the students to learn how to sing tunefully, to understand the basics of music and the different genres, and to glorify God by making music together.
Psalm 95:1 “Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!”
Teachers: Tabetha Dawkins: I am a mom of four who has been involved at HOPE Co Op for the past five years. I have a degree in music education and have taught music in both public and private school settings, as well as teaching private lessons from my home. I also enjoy helping with music at church, both on the worship team and with the Sunday School children. I am excited to teach music in a classroom setting again and to share with your children the joy of worshipping God through music.
Leah Kamrath: I am a mom of four living in Hutchinson. We are excited to begin our second year of homeschooling and being part of HOPE Co-op. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education from Concordia University, St. Paul and taught in private schools in the Twin Cities area before moving to Hutchinson. After teaching in both private and public settings locally, I chose to stay home and teach my own children.
Music has always been a significant part of my life. I have been singing and playing instruments for as long as I can remember and have served in worship ministry for about 15 years. I currently participate on the worship team at my church and look forward to making music and worshipping alongside the HOPE Co-op students.
